I love "Stories of Jesus" and "He is Coming"! They are two of my most favorite CDs. I have "He is Coming" in among my MoTab CDs in my car and whenever it gets to its turn I find it so uplifting and refreshing. My spirit always soars and my mood is always lighter after hearing these two CDs. - Judy A.

What people are saying about "He Is Coming"

I was totally and pleasantly surprised by your new CD. My favorites (I can't decide just one) were your new version of The Lord Is My Shepherd and the truly uplifting Look Up. Both were most welcome reminders of things that too often slip to the back of my mind. Mitch

This CD is a treasure. The music is gorgeous. I love all the different styles and genres... Something is sure to connect with every age and personality. Each melody is memorable, and the words, as always are powerful. To all my friends, I highly recommend this CD and also ANY music by the Hoffmans. Best of the best. Holly A.

“I have been listening to ‘He is Coming’ a lot. What a powerful song! (The music) fills me with a sweet, uplifting, powerful spirit. Magnificent!” Tom S.

I put my He Is Coming CD on last night as soon as you brought it over and found my spirit calmed and comforted within just a few minutes of playing it.  I am playing it at work this morning in the background and finding it very soothing.  Thank you for the wonderful music. -Jared

“Love the innovative arrangements.” You guys really nailed this one! It is wonderful and I congratulate you for your hard work and more for your inspiration that seemed to just keep coming and coming. The voice, Roger, on 'He is Coming,' was powerful. I liked Come to Me Again with it's fun rhythm especially. I was especially moved by 'Look Up'.  My feelings are especially tender the past weeks and I really cherished it and that message. 'We Are Joy' is a super finale. The whole world should hear this!- Marietta F.

I LOVE it! There are multiple songs that I can tell will be life-changers for me. Valerie T.

We're looking forward to being able to download "We Are Joy" for the family to learn for our reunion! What a marvelous song. The whole CD is great. Mimi B.

For those of you who are fans of Roger and Melanie Hoffman and their music, they have a new album, He is Coming:  New Songs for a New Time.  I have listened to these songs over and over, and am impressed how they grow on me.  The more I listen, and ponder the messages, the more I enjoy them.   One song in particular thrills me, and I get goosebumps each time I hear it.  It is a medley of a new song by the Hoffmans, “With a Touch,” sung with “Love One Another” by Luacine Fox.  The harmony is so beautiful.  Just wish it was longer…  They have published this CD themselves, and are selling it through their website…www.hoffmanhouse.com, where you can also listen to the songs in this new CD.

It's hard to pick out favorites, because there are several songs on the CD that touch my heart one way or another. Gethsemane seems written for children, is sung by the children, and I could see that one having an important place in the Primary curriculum. I love "Look Up," with its jazzy beat.  When it comes on I have to stop what I am doing and listen. "We are Joy" is also a favorite.  It occurs to me your first song, "He is Coming," and "We are Joy" make good bookends for this album.

Walking around the house yesterday, I realized the words to "The Lord is my Shepherd" were running through my mind.  Interesting why some words stick there sometimes. All in all, it is a lovely album, and I love listening to it.  Thank you so much for this gift to all of us.
- Kathleen B.

He Is Coming Lyrics

HE IS COMING

Like the rushing of breakers that race to the call of the shore
The waves of the spirit are flooding the earth with His power.
The flood is beginning, crescendoing, filling the earth.
His hand is upon us to raise us in power and faith.
Chorus
Lift your eyes to Him. He will come again.
Lift your voice and sing. He is coming again!

With a force that is stronger than any have known before
The powers of heaven and earth are uniting once more.
The light of the Son is rising, never to dim.
With the turning of times He is turning our hearts to Him.
Chorus
Lift your eyes to Him. He will come again.
Lift your voice and sing He is coming again!

Generations of heaven and earth join voices and sing,
Drawing together in love for Jesus, our King.
In the fulness of times, with gifts of His bounteous grace,
His children are gathering home to a glorious place.
Chorus
Lift your eyes to Him. He will come again.
Lift your voice and sing He is coming again!

SAVIOR

In my wilderness I’m not comfortless. He is there, Savior.
Holy Counselor, friend and rescuer, He is hope, Savior.
In forgiveness He is wondrous. He is Love, Savior.
He will hear me, comfort, cheer me. Loves me dearly, Savior.
And I’ll praise Him evermore. He opened heaven’s door.
Give my heart to Him. He let me in.

In His kindness I feel gladness. He is joy, Savior.
Gave His life for me. Paid the price for me.
He is my Savior. Savior.

GETHSEMANE

Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still. His steps were heavy and slow.
Love and a prayer took Him there To the place only He could go.
Gethsemane.  Jesus loves me. So He went willingly To Gethsemane.
He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad All the pain we would ever know.
While His friends were asleep He fought to keep His promise made long ago.

Gethsemane.  Jesus loves me. So He went willingly To Gethsemane.
The hardest thing that ever was done,
The greatest pain that ever was known,
The biggest battle that ever was won,
This was done by Jesus! The fight was won by Jesus!

Gethsemane.  Jesus loves me. So He gave His gift to me In Gethsemane.
Gethsemane.  Jesus loves me. So He gives His gift to me From Gethsemane.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

The Lord is my Shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
Beside the still waters He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
His spirit restoreth my soul. Into green pastures I'll go with Him.
The Lord is my Shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.

Through valley and shadow He carries me, He carries me.
From the well of my sorrow He rescues me, He rescues me.
His mercy restoreth my soul. His infinite love makes me whole again.
The Lord is my shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.

The Lord is my Shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
I know I can trust where He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
His goodness and mercy will follow me.
All of my days He will walk with me.
The Lord is my Shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
He is my shepherd. He leadeth me, He leadeth me.

COME TO ME AGAIN

One first step in a roadless valley and my way is unmapped with no markers to guide me.
Unprepared but so determined Without knowing why I’ve been called here to wander
And the night falls when I still have very far to go
But a light shines through the restless mists
and the chains that wrap me me disappear
He says I will catch you when you falter and hold you through your pain
and when you call I”ll be right where I’ve always been so come to Me again.

Underfoot and overpowered I begin to shake as the enemy of my soul seems to tower above me.
Oh my soul how long has lingered in places far from the spirit of my Savior
And it seems to me that I am unforgivable
But a light shines through the restless mists
and the chains that wrap me me disappear
He says I will catch you when you falter and hold you through your pain
and when you call I”ll be right where I’ve always been so come to Me again.

All I fear and all I worry stands outside my doorstep waiting to hunt me.
How can I be brave and steadfast when all my strength is crushed down by this terror?
And I feel my will is fading and I cannot last
But a light shines through the restless mists
and the chains that wrap me disappear.
He says I will catch you when you falter
and hold you through your pain
and when you call I’ll be right where I’ve always been
so come to Me again.
Come to Me again.

PURE IN HEART

God will hear the poor in heart;
forgive their sins and hope impart;
Comfort them and bless their days,
Lift their thoughts and guide Their ways,
Heal their hearts, protect their ways.

God will bid His angels say words to keep them on their way;
Light and truth that grow until purity be comes their will;
Purity be comes their will.

God will lead the pure to see the pathway to His majesty,
To shake the heav'ns and heal a heart,
Holy pow'r will God impart to rest up on the pure in heart.

When the tempests blow and fires ascend,
When seas arise and rocks will rend,
When the Savior in His cloud descends
Those who will meet Him Will be pure in heart.

Father, make us pure in heart.
Let Thy consuming fire start,
Growing in our lives until
Purity be comes our will
and we are safe on Zion’s hill.

A LIGHT IN MY HEART IS A LIGHT IN THE WORLD

A light in the heart is a light in the home,
A light in the home is a light in the town.
A light int he town is a light in the nation
And light in the nations is light in the world.

Keep the home lights burning bright.
Keep your light burning bright.
Shine your light.

LOOK UP (THE SUN IS HIDINʼ SOMEWHERE )

When you are worried and feelinʼ small,
And your troubles look ten feet tall,
All your hopes have gone and hit the wall,
You donʼt know what to do.

When you are lonely and feelinʼ blue,
Forgot the answers you ever knew,
Hereʼs a clever little tip for you.
Thereʼs something you can do.

Chorus-Look up. Try to see the sunshine.
Look up and when the skies are gray
You know the sun is hidinʼ somewhere
And something good is on its way.

I presume to tell you what to do
ʻCause by experience I know itʼs true.
Thereʼs a light that wants to shine on you
And this is what you do.

Chorus-Look up. Try to see the sunshine.
Look up and when the skies are gray
You know the sun is hidinʼ somewhere
And something good is on its way.

WITH A TOUCH HE LIFTED THE WEARY LOVE ONE ANOTHER

With a touch, He lifted the weary.
With a word, He calmed their fears.
He laid His hands upon their heads
and wiped away their tears.
He gathered His children
and taught them by the sea
And His words were light and life.
“Rejoice!” and “Follow me.”

As I have loved you, Love on another.
This new commandment,
Love one another.
By this shall men know ye are my disciples,
If you have love one to another.

WE ARE JOY

When I look to see my sisters and my brothers
Ev'ry day I'm lifted by their light.
We were meant to be a beacon for each other
and together we are hope burning bright.

We are love. We are Light. We are here to help each other.
We are more than our sorrow and our pain.
We are joy. We are power. We'll work miracles together,
Coming closer to the day He comes again.

Ev'ry day there's someone who needs lifting.
A weary mind, a heart that's growing cold.
I can give my hand to someone who is drifting.
We're stronger when we have a hand to hold.

We are love. We are Light. We are here to help each other.
We are more than our sorrow and our pain.
We are joy. We are power. We'll work miracles together,
Coming closer to the day He comes again.

And when He comes we will sing!
The earth will rejoice at the sound of His voice and we will sing!

We are love. We are light. We are here to help each other.
We are more than our sorrows and our pain.
We are joy. We are power. We'll work miracles together.
Coming closer to the day He comes again.

We are joy. We are power. We'll work miracles together.
Coming closer to the day He comes again.
We are closer to the day He comes again.
